Course Overview

This course covers essential topics in security, from risk management and ethical guidelines to access control and network security. You will learn best practices for effective security measures and respond to incidents. At the end of the course, you take the Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) certification. This course is ideal for you if you want to take the first step towards a career in cybersecurity. ISC2 is a complementary certification that can be carried out at any moment of your Cybersecurity learning journey and is recommended for starters who are unsure if Cybersecurity is the right path for them or current students in Cybersecurity who want to add one extra certification to their portfolio.

    1. Security Principles: Explore the foundational concepts of information assurance, the process of risk management, implementation of security controls, adherence to the ISC2 Code of Ethics, and understanding governance processes.

    2. Business Continuity and Incident Management: Delve into the principles of Business Continuity (BC), strategies for Disaster Recovery (DR), and the protocols for effective incident response.

    3. Access Control: Understand the mechanisms of physical and logical access controls to secure environments and data.

    4. Network Security: Gain insights into the basics of computer networking, identify potential network threats and attacks, and learn about the infrastructure that supports network security.

    5. Security Operations: Focus on securing data through various techniques, hardening systems against vulnerabilities, establishing best practice security policies, and promoting security awareness training.

    6. Exam: You prepare for the exam and complete it.

    • You are able to understand and speak English.

    • This course requires around 30-40 hours of time commitment, counting both live sessions and self-study. 80% attendance of the course is required for graduation.

    • You are interested in cybersecurity and want to get certified.

    • You earned the Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) certification

    • You have developed your knowledge - and understanding of the 5 cybersecurity domains

    • You can further advance your cybersecurity career with ReDI’s cybersecurity courses

    • Live Sessions: You have a live session once a week where coaches explain the key concepts.

    • Self-Study: You have access to the ISC2 online self-paced learning platform to conduct personal study.

    • On-site Exam: You take the exam in one of the Pearson Vue-certified test centers across Germany, Denmark and Sweden.

    • Career & Soft Skills Workshops, Company Visits
