It is common for companies in Germany to hesitate to hire foreigners; this could be due to many reasons, including a lack of experience or language abilities. The Jobcenter Munich offers insight into how people and companies can receive support through the Job Center and ReDI School.
There’s a problem why they don’t hire people because their language skills are not high enough. For example, office jobs require a B2 or C1 level of German.

Empowering Tech Talent Through ReDI Lab: A Path to Real-World Experience
ReDI Lab, part of the program “She’s ReDI”, is supported by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, gives tech learners the chance to work on real-life projects provided by companies, enhancing their portfolios and professional experiences. The program has been created to support advanced ReDI students facing the same challenge: competing with seasoned professionals who have already completed internships and other tech roles. By offering students hands-on experience through meaningful projects, ReDI Lab helps its participants build confidence and skills, making them more competitive in the job market.
ReDI Summer Job Fair 2024: Breaking Barriers, Shaping the Future
The ReDI Summer Job Fair 2024 in Munich was a landmark event, connecting over 80 tech talents from 30 nations with 50+ leading companies. More than just a job fair, it celebrated diversity in tech, with 64% female participation and innovative workshops like "She's ReDI To Pitch". The event showcased ReDI School's commitment to breaking barriers and shaping the future of Germany's tech industry.
Building Bridges: Hiring Program with Cisco
The goal of Cisco and ReDI School is to provide students with valuable digital skills, a growth mindset, strengthened career skills and a strong community of tech professionals. The internship is funded by Cisco’s global executive team to create new opportunities and bring to life Cisco’s goal of “enabling an inclusive future for all”.
ReDI Job Fair: Emphasis on Diversity and Equality in the workforce
Our ReDI Job Fair in Berlin, hosted by Microsoft, was a success. 80+ ReDI tech talents interviewed with 20+ hiring companies. Our panel discussion, pre-job fair, stressed diversification and equality to enrich their workforce. Let’s hope that many ReDI tech talents fill those job openings!
ReDI School NRW: Empowers Learners and Makes a Lasting Impact
The Spring 2023 semester at ReDI School NRW concluded with a resounding success, culminating in a remarkable Demo Day held at Mitsubishi Electric in Ratingen. With 82 participants present on-site and an additional 204 viewers tuning in via the live-stream on YouTube, the event showcased the tremendous growth and impact of the NRW branch.
