Coming full-circle: Ayesha’s pathway from ReDI student to ReDI partner

Building Bridges: Capgemini’s Partnership with ReDI School

One of the most pressing challenges in Germany's tech sector is a lack of skilled workers, currently counting approx. 149,000 vacancies that must be filled. Capgemini, a global leader in consulting and digital transformation, recognized this gap and saw an opportunity to invest in Germany's future workforce by supporting emerging tech talent. Partnering with ReDI School not only equips students with essential skills but also opens doors to careers within Capgemini itself.

Ayesha’s Journey: From ReDI Student to Capgemini CSR Senior Specialist

Ayesha's story is one of resilience and passion. Despite being highly qualified, Ayesha faced barriers to enter the German job market. Her previous qualifications were only partly recognized, and being a MBA graduate with previous experience in business management and tech was suddenly not sufficient. Driven by a love for technology, she joined ReDI School, seeking to boost her skills and build a professional network in Germany. ReDI's programs are primarily industry-oriented since the organization’s mission is accelerating the digital integration of newcomers. Graduates thus receive training adapted to their needs to increase technical knowledge and career insights with which they can thrive in a new environment.

It was during her time at ReDI that she first discovered Capgemini through a networking event. Captivated by the company’s values and its dedication to corporate social responsibility (CSR), she applied—and secured a position as a SAP Consultant. Due to her passion for sustainability and CSR, Ayesha joined the CSR team, where she now manages Capgemini’s collaboration with ReDI School, coming full circle from ReDI student to ReDI partner.

Capgemini’s Commitment to Inclusive Growth

By hosting mentorship events, organizing career workshops and providing technical and financial resources, Capgemini shows invaluable support for ReDI’s student community. These initiatives give students the chance to learn directly from industry professionals, gain hands-on experience, and build confidence in their abilities. Capgemini’s volunteers, many of whom mentor students in their free time, guide students through their practical insights, thereby helping them transition from learning environments to real-world applications.

As Ayesha describes it, “The corporate mentorship program organized by Capgemini and ReDI opens doors for students to explore tech careers in Germany. The chance to connect with professionals who truly believe in their potential is transformative.”

Building a Talent Pipeline for Germany’s Future

By partnering with ReDI School, Capgemini is fostering a diverse and inclusive talent pipeline for the tech sector. This collaboration actively supports individuals from various backgrounds—including migrants and women re-entering the workforce—providing pathways to a meaningful career in tech.

Ayesha sees the partnership as a bridge, connecting talent and opportunity: “Programs like these empower ReDI students to confidently step into the job market. Having experienced this journey myself, I know how impactful it is to have a company like Capgemini behind you.”

A Call to Companies: Be Part of the Change

For other companies, Ayesha has a powerful message: consider ReDI’s Career Partnership. “Working with ReDI isn’t just about filling positions—it’s about investing in the future of Germany’s tech industry by supporting motivated talent from all backgrounds. ReDI students bring unique perspectives and a drive to succeed, and companies that partner with ReDI can play a pivotal role in shaping an inclusive tech landscape.”
