Course Overview

This course prepares you for the Microsoft AZ500 exam, covering identity management, platform protection, and security operations. Through twice-weekly live sessions led by industry experts and six hours of self-guided study and labs each week, students will learn crucial security skills. The course is suitable for individuals with prior cybersecurity training and a commitment to 10 hours of study per week.   • The course is a preparation for the Microsoft Azure Security Technologies Exam (Microsoft AZ500). To prepare for the exam the course covers the following topics:

    1. Identity and Access

    2. Implement Platform Protection

    3. Secure computing, storage, and databases

    4. Manage security operation

    5. Preparation and taking the AZ 500 exam

    6. Case Study and Presentation

    7. Job Readiness: Soft skills through career training geared towards preparing you for job applications & interviews, networking events, and job fairs.

    • Live Sessions: You have live sessions twice a week where teachers explain the key concepts. The volunteer teachers are experts in the industry.

    • Self-Study: You study around 6 hours weekly on projects and hands-on labs.

    • You have successfully completed the Cybersecurity Intermediate course from ReDI Cyberspace or equivalent.

    • Successfully cleared AZ 900 and SC 900 certifications

    • You are able to understand and speak English.

    • You can commit at least 10 hours a week (classes + self-study) 80% attendance and homework completion is required for graduation.

  • Upon successful completion, you have taken an important step toward a career in cybersecurity and can apply for internships. You will be able to:

    • Designing and implementing Security Controls to protect Azure resources

    • Managing Identity and Access (user identities, access policies, and authentication mechanisms

    • Monitoring and Threat Detection to detect and respond to potential security incidents. By analyzing logs, monitoring network traffic, and utilizing Azure Security Center, they proactively identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks

    • Security Compliance and Governance

    • Career & Soft Skills Workshops, Company Visits
