Course Overview

Your AI Superpower starts here! 

Embrace and understand the hype behind Artificial Intelligence, with an emphasis on History, terminology, technology, recent developments, the possibilities and limitations of AI, ethics, regulation, and where do we go from here. We’ll look at some basic understanding behind language models and generative AI, and the ensuing technology and how it will impact our work and humanity. 

This course is an opportunity for you to gain knowledge of machine learning and AI concepts along with related Microsoft Azure services and the course leads to the AI-900 exam. As a candidate for the AI-900 exam, you will gain familiarity with AI-900’s self-paced or instructor-led learning material.

This exam is intended for you if you have both technical and non-technical backgrounds. You would benefit from having awareness of:

  • Basic cloud concepts

  • Client-server applications

You can use Azure AI Fundamentals to prepare for other Azure role-based certifications like Azure Data Scientist Associate or Azure AI Engineer Associate, but it’s not a prerequisite for any of them.

  • Intro to AI / LinkedIn Learning Certificate

    • Introduction to AI: What is AI / Generative AI? How can I benefit from it in my work?

    • Generative AI tools: Which tools exist? How can they help you in coding and your learning process? Hands-on session.

    • Responsible AI: AI, Ethics (Personal Responsibility, Regulations, Guardrails & other considerations) and Data Protection. What to look out for while using AI tools.

    AZ-900: Introduction to AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI tools

    • Review of calculus, linear algebra, and probability and statistics;

    • Probabilistic models;

    • Supervised learning techniques;

    • Unsupervised learning techniques;

    • Model evaluation and selection;

    • Cognitive AI services;

    • Decision-making and methods for controlling and implementing bot behavior

    • AI ethics and societal impact.

    • Microsoft AI-900 Certification

    • You are able to understand and speak English

    • You can commit at least 10 hours a week (classes + self-study)

    • 80% attendance of the course is required for graduation

    • You have an interest in AI technologies

    • You completed the Machine Learning AI course - Note: Graduates from our Machine Learning courses will be preferred!

  • You completed the Azure AI Fundamentals part 1: Fundamental AI Concepts

    You are registered on deeplearning.ai and finish week#1 of this course to get an overview of AI.

    • You have developed a systematic understanding of AI and machine learning principles and techniques for use in a broad range of contexts.

    • Explored cognitive intelligence AI services for capabilities such as vision, speech, and text, and their applications.

    • Discussed the main machine learning categories of unsupervised/supervised learning and applied them using appropriate techniques and toolsets.

    • Analysed the practical problems and develop appropriate software solutions using selected AI/machine learning techniques such as classification, regression, and clustering.

    • Discussed the ethical implications of developing AI solutions for societal contexts.

    • Get a voucher and prepare to take the Microsoft Azure AI-900 exam!

  • This course meets twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday at 19:00-21:00 and is completely online with Zoom.
